SomaSoul® Somatic Movement Therapy

 

SomaSoul® individual therapy sessions help release any kind of block - physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, creative, professional, relational, etc. It is a body-focused healing modality that allows people to be present, reconnect to their body and feel safe in working through these blocks so they can feel truly alive. The work is unique to the individual and may include drawing, movement and active listening, and always starts with bringing attention into the body & breath to land more fully in the present moment. People who do this work walk away with a deeper connection to themselves, their joy, intuition and creativity and their ability to more deeply connect with others. 


SomaSoul® Workshops 

Experience somatic, soul-centered practices and open to the power of your heart and gut, compassion and intuition.  Incorporating the tools of Somatic Movement Therapy, these workshops bring mindfulness and healing to the physical and emotional body, and can be organized around a variety of themes, including:

  • Befriending Your Body - Translating Tensions into Information - participants gain greater understanding of the body experience - including tensions held and the messages they offer.  Through a practice of inquiry, creativity & movement,  participants leave with a greater sense of wisdom, presence, connectedness and power. 
  • Express Yourself – a workshop to connect body, mind and soul as participants attune to their inner experience and excavate the wisdom of their inner voice.  Creative, somatic & mindful activities guide participants through a journey of tuning in, discovering wisdom and expressing self.
  • Awaken Your Heart – In this workshop, experience somatic and soul-centered practices to support your journey toward joy and satisfaction in life, and clear obstructions to your power and heart.  Our hearts have intuition, wisdom and love available for us at any time we connect to it’s presence!  

Yoga & Meditation

Individual Instruction

Experience greater ease in your body, mind & in your life. Meditation has been shown to improve focus, reduce stress and - it’s been said - make you 10% happier.  Yoga helps bring your  awareness into your body and increases strength & flexibility, among other benefits.   If you've ever wanted to start or deepen a practice that includes one or both of these modalities, and if you'd like more individual attention as you learn,  individual instruction is for you. Designed around your unique needs, interests and physical abilities, our sessions will provide you with the resources you need to create a sustainable home practice and feel comfortable joining a class, or deepen your own mind-body experience as you grow in your existing practice.

The Yoga of Dance

In a series of 1-hour classes, this movement practice relaxes your nervous system, energizes your body, and awakens your soul through a powerful, fluid dance repertoire set to world music. Together we create a sweaty, sacred space where participants find communion within their body and soul as they join in a creative, joyful community of dancers.
